Ohio For Hurricane Helene Relief
Help Us Air-Lift Hope to North Carolina.Pitch in, Ohio. We can all be a part of this 4-month mission to support Asheville through the winter.
3 Ways You Can Help
-
Fuel Flights, Fund Our Mission
Monetary donations help pay for airplane fuel, pilot flight time and general operations. Local companies in North Carolina are discounting fuel prices for us, but we need to fill the tank every time we fly – so your dollars make more frequent flights possible.
-
Give Everyday Essentials For Extraordinary Need
Diapers, baby formula, toilet paper, toothpaste – we take these items for granted every day. Your material donations help fill our cargo holds with small, lightweight necessities that mean the world to hurricane survivors.
-
Spread the Word, Make a Difference
Share our mission with everyone you know! Every social post, forwarded link and conversation helps us bring relief and recovery to the people suffering in the Carolinas.

Donation & Drop-Off Details
Denise Hobart, President and Chief Flight Instructor of American Winds, has partnered with a charitable organization to help elementary school students and families affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. Damaged school buildings in the area leave thousands of kids at risk of falling behind in their education, and many families continue to struggle with finding shelter and securing the most basic necessities.
Together, we can bring hope and comfort to our neighbors in need. Here’s how:
Our next donation transport mission takes off November 18!

Adopt a Family
Denise and her American Winds colleagues are in contact with families struggling to recover from devastation. As those families update their needs, American Winds will serve as the liaison with local businesses and individuals that are stepping up to donate food and other supplies to get them back on their feet.
Rescue a Classroom
Schools affected by flooding and other hurricane damage are still struggling to ensure students’ safety in the classroom. As educators determine the supplies needed to welcome students back, American Winds will relay those specifics to businesses and individuals willing to help.
Support a Tiny House Project
Thousands of North Carolina families lost everything – including the roof over their heads. American Winds has partnered with Amish Built Cabins to help provide housing for the families left homeless by the hurricane. Your donations help us build small, affordable homes quickly – before winter weather makes their situation even worse.
